As we approach Christmas and the New Year, we often seen an increase in opportunistic thefts. This is because vehicles may contain gifts, shopping bags, or other valuables that attract thieves. Criminals know that people are busy and sometimes less vigilant during this period, making it a prime time for them to strike.

To help protect your vehicle and belongings, please consider these simple but effective tips:

Remove all valuables when leaving your vehicle unattended – even small items like bags, coats, or loose change can tempt thieves.

Always lock your vehicle and double-check windows are fully closed.

Park in well-lit areas or secure car parks whenever possible.

Keep keys out of sight inside your home – avoid leaving them near doors or windows.

Consider extra security measures such as steering locks, alarms, or dashcams.
